As many of you know, the cricketers are charged with the task of raising funds - IN ADDITION to what we raise through general sponsorship.
This season they have a number of initiatives - the first of which is the Poker eveneing which is on 8th March.
Other events ongoing and ready to be added to the calandar are a race night - probably early May.
The past & present players evening in June is again taking shape thanks to JC - so if you know ex players, please invite them to the club - IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ALL CURRENT PLAYERS MAKE THEMSELVES AVAILABLE FOR THAT NIGHT.
We are also organising a Golf Day to be held at The Manor Golf Club - I think again we are looking at June here - you can either pay for yourself to play or if you can get your employer to pay for a Fourball ( cost still being discussed) then even better.
There will be further events, but these sre the first ones I'm aware of so please - watch this space for the dates and support the club.

Sponsors.
Fellas,
If you are wanting new balls every game then we need some help to obtain sponsorship, having lost two main sposors in the close season.
For every match ball sponsor your bring in, the club will discount your subs by £5 - so if you can do the math(!) that means you need 8 sponsors to fully cover your subs.
There are various packages available but the cost of a match ball sponsorship is £25. For that the sponsor will get their name in the matchday programme.
For a more commercial package including advertising boards, programme advert, polo shirt, track suit or playing shirt sponsorship - or even a matchday package - please contact me for details.
Please try to get matchball sponsors and don't leave it to the same people - its not hard to ask your firm or local takeaway or a small shop you use regularly to sponsor a matchball.
As i said at the top - there is no rule that says you need to start every league game with a new ball - and that includes 1st XI.
